Kaylee starts Gymnastics!

Please be aware...this is the 3rd posting I am putting up today...so make sure you see all the new pictures!
This morning, Kaylee started her gymnastics classes. Since Kaylee certainly doesn't need any more toys or clothes, I have asked the family to instead donate to her activities fund for Christmas. This fund is paying for things like: gymnastics and art class (see previous post for art class pictures.) But here is a chance for Kaylee's aunts and grand-parents to see what their funds will be paying for:
Kaylee had a blast...they started off in a giant pit of soft blocks. Kaylee actually had some trouble negotiating her way in and out...but I have a feeling within a few weeks...it'll be easy.
They also walked across several balance beams...some of which were already about a foot high!
Kaylee's practice walking along rock ledges and fences with Daddy really paid off on this activity. She didn't even need the teacher's help (sometimes.)
There was also ample time spent on the trampoline which Kaylee really liked!
As one of Kaylee's favorite civilian activities is bouncing, the trampoline quickly became her favorite apparatus.
She ran back and forth along the run-way style trampoline for several minutes (everyone else had moved on...but the teachers, knowing it was her first class, let her explore at her own pace.)
Finally, after a little coaxing, she decided she would move on.
She did some climbing, earning her nickname: Monkey #1.
It was around this time in the circuit, where she was just free-style climbing like she had been born swinging in a tree, that I wondered if gymnastics was the right activity for her. I mean really, what am I reinforcing here? Building her confidence in climbing? Our bookshelves will never be safe again!
But if that genuine smile says anything: its that I definitely picked the right activity.
Hooray for gymnastics, and hooray for the nap Kaylee is now taking because it wore her out so much!
Any Questions?
