playgroups

I remembered to bring my camera to playgroup at Christina's house on Tuesday, so I managed to get a few pictures. Rowan generally gets to play at playgroups now.
Sometimes, it is by herself, which she seems fine with.
Other times, it is with her buddy, Oliver. She doesn't care as long as she doesn't get trampled by the older kids, which has yet to happen.
Then on Friday, both girls got to know some new friends. Jordan and his big sister Nevaeh came over for a little while. Jordan is 4 days older than Rowan and I know you can't see it here, but he is a big boy. He's got about 4 or 5 pounds on Ro, but he's a very smiley boy and they had a lot of fun gurgling at each other.
The theme of the day for Kaylee and Nevaeh was art. They did a lot of coloring.
Surprisingly, even though only one coloring book was chosen, the girls did a good job of sharing. The result was several sheets worked on by both budding artists. Hey, whatever works right?
To go along with our art theme, the girls also did some painting with water colors. They spent a lot of time chasing each other around the easle to see what the other was working on and they had a really good time.It was apparently Nevaeh's first time painting so she had an especially good time and got to take her masterpiece home for her Daddy.
But we can't spend all of our time working (read: coloring and painting) so some general silly old fun was had as well. The girls took our moshi pillows and wore them as hats to chase each other around with our stroller and shopping cart.
They look like those Gumbas from Super Mario Bros.
Thank goodness for good friends and good times.
