The Family Birthday Bash

Yesterday was Kaylee and Rowan's family birthday party.
To get things started, Kaylee organized a rousing 'Go Fish' tournament.
As you can see the play was spirited, but fair.
Being too young to qualify, Rowan watched the players from the sidelines.
But eventually, enough was enough, Kaylee said.
A quick picture with Grammy.
Then it was time for presents.
Kaylee did most of the opening.
while Rowan looked on.
There were 4 generations present at the party; that's my grandmother and Grant's grandfather behind Kaylee.
Rowan really liked her presents!
Later, it was time for cupcakes. Rowan was intrigued by her candle.
Kaylee has the whole 'blowing out the candles' thing down!
Kaylee dug right in...with a fork...which defeated my purpose in making cupcakes, but oh well!
Nothing is better with a chocolate cupcake than some nice cold milk!
Rowan chomped right into her cupcake too, no utensils required.
At first I wasn't sure what was going to happen.
But she seemed willing to share, at least some of the crumbs.
Overall, I think she really liked it!
Happy Birthday girls!
And this is a real sign off for a bit this time. We leave for Disney tomorrow and will not be posting pictures until after we return.
